Instructions to make Kesari Thandai

  1. First we will make thandai masala. For that we need, to add all the above ingredients in a pan, except milk and sugar. Just heat them, donot roast them. When all the ingredients warms up a little, switch off the flame. Now pour them over a plate, let them cool down completely.
  2. Now grind them coarsely, you can even grind them into a fine powder but I prefer it grinding coarsely, as it taste good when you feel the nuts inside your mouth. Your thandai masala is ready.
  3. Now take 400 ml of chilled boiled milk and add 4 tbsp of powdered sugar and 3 to 4 tbsp of this thandai powder and you can mix it with a spoon or grind everything into a mixture for about 2 to 3 seconds so that masala gets well combined with the milk. Refer to the image below.
  4. Now pour them into glasses, sprinkle some kesar and rose petals over it and serve chilled. Enjoy this traditional kesari thandai with your loved ones, this Holi....
