  1. 1 cup basmati rice
  2. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  3. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  4. 2 tbsp ghee
  5. 10-15 cashews
  6. 8-10 pistachios
  7. 10-15 raisins
  8. 2 cardamom (choli elechi)
  9. 2 cloves
  10. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  11. 6-8 black pepper
  12. 2 bay leaves
  13. 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  14. 3-4 tbsp sugar
  15. 1/4 tsp saffron strands
  16. 2 cup water
