  1. For marination
  2. 300 gm cottage cheese
  3. 1 big capsicum cut into cubes
  4. 1 onion halved and the layers removed
  5. 2 tbsp mustard oil
  6. 2 tbsp gram flour
  7. 1 tsp kashmiri red Chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  9. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  11. 1 tsp chat masala
  12. 1 tsp ginger paste
  13. 1 tsp garlic paste
  14. 1 tsp kasuri methi
  15. 1/4 cup hung curd
  16. For gravy
  17. 2 onion finely chopped
  18. 3 tomatoes finely chopped
  19. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  20. 1/2 tsp kashmiri red Chilli powder
  21. 1/2 tsp red Chilli powder
  22. 2 tsp coriander powder
  23. to taste Salt
  24. 2 green chillies slit
  25. leaves Some coriander
  26. 2 tbsp cream or malai
  27. 3-4 tbsp oil

Instructions to make Paneer Tikka Masala

  1. First add mustard oil in a kadhai heat it on high temperature then turn off the flame. add gram flour in hot oil mix and saute.the gram flour has cooked in hot oil.
  2. Add kashmiri red Chilli powder,curd and all powder spices mention above for marination. Mix well.add paneer cut onion,capsicum and paneer cubes. Coated gently all veggies with masala.
  3. Keep it in the fridge for marination for 1/2 hour.after that take out from fridge. Take a coal piece and hold it over a gas flame with the help of tongs. When the coal will begin to turn red place a foil or crack proof bowl in the middle of marinated paneer and put the hot coal inside the foil.Add a spoon of ghee or oil on the coal. It will begin to smoke. Immediately cover the panit sit for about a minute until the smoke has gone away. Open the lid and remove the coal cup.
  4. Take skewer Put marinated paneer on to skewer alternately capsicum onion and paneer. Take a skillet add 1 tbsp oil heat it and place the sckrewer on it roast until the marinated dried up and has black spotted appears.keep aside. Heat 1/4 cup oil in a kadhai add whole spices saute 30 seconds,add chopped onion fry until they turn golden brown.
  5. When onion turn brown add all powder spices mention for gravy and tomatoes.mix well cover and cook on low to medium flame until the tomatoes turn mushy and oil released..
  6. Add the remaining marination mix it.add slit green chillies and chopped coriander leaves.mix and add the roasted paneer tikka.mix gently.
  7. Add malai or cream.add 1/2 cup water and cover. Bring it a boil.turn off the flame. The smoky flavored paneer tikka is ready to serve
