- 1/2 cup dali udad dal
- 2 medium sized tomato
- 2 medium.sized tomato
- To taste Salt
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- to taste Amul cream
- 1 tsp Coriander leaves
Instructions to make Dal Makhni
- Soak chana dal for 30 hour. And afterwards add half cup udad dal and let it sit for 10mints.
- Boil the dal in pressure cooker with 1 tbsp salt and keep it aside.
- Now we will Prepare the tadka for dal. Take oil in pan and add thin sliced onion to it. Add sliced tomato once onion turns pink.
- Let it roast well. Once the oil separates from it, add haldi powder, chilli powder and saute the masala
- Add boiled dal to the tadka and sprinkle garam masala and coriander powder ronit and give a good boil.
- Move the dal to a bowl and garnish with fresh cream, butter and coriander leaves.
- Serve it hot with naan, chapati or rice.
