- To the sliced ivy gourds add turmeric powder and a tsp of salt and mix well. Cover them and keep it aside.

- For the spicy masala powder: To a hot pan add curry leaves, Cumin seeds, Peppercorns and dry roast them for few minutes. Transfer everything into the mixer jar and grind. Once it's 80% grinded add a tsp of coriander powder and grind it to a fine powder. Powdered masala is ready.


- Heat up the same pan,add oil,Chopped onions, garlic and saute it until they turn golden brown in color.
- Then add chilli powder and let it saute until the raw smell goes away.

- Now transfer the sliced Ivy gourds into it and mix well. Cover cook for 10 mins or until 50% cooked.

- After 10 minutes, add required salt and mix well. Cover cook for 5 minutes or until 90% cooked.
- Now add the powdered masala into it/ give it a good mix. And let it cook for few more minutes.
- Once Ivy gourds has cooked completely give everything a final mix and switch off the flame.
