  2. Ghee: ½ cup (80 gms)
  3. Powdered Sugar: ½ cup (100 gms)
  4. Cardamom: 4-5 (skin removed and pounded)
  5. Almonds: 10-12 (broken into small pieces, optional)
  6. Cashew nuts: 5-6 (broken into small pieces, optional)

Instructions to make Besan Ladoo

  1. Dry roast the besan until it becomes fragrant. It will approximately take 12-15 minutes. Make sure you stir it continuously to avoid burning of the besan.
  2. Now add ghee and roast the besan in ghee for other 5-6 minutes or until a proper nutty fragrance comes out of the roasted besan. The besan will start to release ghee.
  3. Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder, almonds, and cashew nuts. Mix well.
  4. Add sugar to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Take out the mixture on a plate and let it cool down completely.
