Today I'mein going to share a simple
Chicken chukka recipe - a very delicious, flavorful and aromatic dish where chicken is cooked in dry form in oil and butter without adding any water. Chicken chukka is a spicy and yummy tasting recipe that can be prepared quickly without having to grind any special masala makes it easy for beginners also cook. Chukka is usually made with mutton, as I don’t eat nor like it, I prefer doing dishes with chicken better. Though this recipe involves quite a few ingredients than other recipes it is easy and quick to cook as well .
Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Chicken sukka (dry) recipe:
- 4 onions
- 2 tomato
- 1/2 kg chicken
- 5 tbsp curd
- 1 capsicum
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 cinnamon
- 2 cardamom
- 3 cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 stone flower
- 1 star anise
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp Kasuri methi
- 2 tbsp butter
- as required Salt, oil & water
- as required Mint & coriander leaves
Instructions to make Chicken sukka (dry) recipe
- First, wash & marinate the Chicken pieces with curd, salt & turmeric powder.
Set Aside for about an hour.
To the cooker add oil. Once it becomes hot, add the onions, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes one by one & saute well. Add finely chopped mint & coriander leaves. - Next add in the marinated Chicken and mix well. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt. Close and cook for 1 whistle on high flame & simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile to a kadai add butter. Once it melts, add the whole dry spices. Add the onions and capsicum. Roast well till the onions turns golden brown in color. Now add the cooked chicken. Add pepper powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder. Cook on high flame till the water in chicken
dries up completely.
